Municipal Well System
The Municipality of Central Huron operates Municipal Well Systems in seven service areas. The Clinton Well Supply System is the largest Municipal water system. We also have six smaller municipal water systems comprised of the Auburn Well Supply, the Kelly Well Supply, the McClinchey Well Supply, the SAM Well Supply, the VandeWetering Well Supply and the Dundass Well Supply, which is seasonal.
All of our systems are in compliance with the regulations mandated by the Ministry of the Environment.
The municipal water systems are user pay only. Those who are not on municipal water systems do not pay for this service.
With the recent environmental requirements under provincial regulation, current operations have adapted to a more rigorous program of operation, maintenance and testing. This, of course, has caused our Municipal water rates to increase substantially.
